Si He Yuan is typical of the traditional Chinese construction in China; it is unique and special and different from the south China's construction style. Si He Yuan have very spacious courtyards and all the rooms around the courtyard are connected with each other by beautiful corridors. All doors and windows face into the courtyard so that there is sufficient day lighting and ventilation in every room. Peaceful and private, the owner could have their own trees and flowers with birds and fish, rockeries and sceneries made. The dwellers shared the beauty of nature over hundreds of years. Si He Yuan is not only a kind of residence, but also a rare relic in the history of China .


Si He Yuan used to be the home of Chinese ancient imperial royalty. The Sihe Hotel is the only one in Beijing which was built in the early period of the Qing Dynasty. The spacious rooms share the beautiful inner and outer courtyard and patio with each other. Antique furniture is decorated with carvings of the dragon and phoenix, the symbol of Chinese ancient nobility.

Si He Yuan appeared simultaneously with the Palace, offices, neighbourhood, passages and Hutongs in Beijing - the capital of China since from the Yuan Dynasty.
