The 2010 World Expo in Shanghai
Deemed to be the largest ever at 5.28 square kilometres (the size of 1000 football pitches). The budget was
just under $40 billion – more than the cost of staging the 2008 Olympics.

The theme is ‘Better City – Better Life’  with a blue mascot, Haibao. More than 240 nations and international organisations are there. Between 70 million visitors are expected, which would make it the most visited in history.

135 Countries in 3 days!
Of the 160 countries represented at the Expo 2010 Shanghai, China, I managed to visit 135. With queues of up to 5 hours, it was difficult to see many of the large country pavilions. Of those that I saw, by far the best and most innovative was the UK pavilion. I also  consider Netherlands and Indonesia to be in the top 3.
