Our voyage

Our first call was the Cypriot port of Limassol from where we sailed to Israel for explore a collection of both classical and Biblical sites. Following a transit of the Suez Canal, one of the world’s greatest feats of civil engineering, we spent time in Egypt exploring some of the great monuments of the Pharaohs. We continued to Jordan where we left the MS Serenissima and spent three nights in five star hotels. From the desert sands of Wadi Rum, to the grandeur of Petra and the mystical Dead Sea, Jordan is steeped in history and awe inspiring beauty. Whilst our fellow travellers returned to the UK, we travelled on to Beirut, Lebanon, where we explored the wonderful ruins of Baalbak and Byblos, one of the oldest Phoenician cities. Sadly, we experienced the riots in Beirut as a result of civil unrest.
